Title
Ganjiers, Tolerance to Drugs, and the Puzzle of Drugs Aesthetic Expertise

Abstract
Abstract Drug tolerance is the decrease in the effects of a drug after repeated consumption. Here, focusing on cannabis, I argue that tolerance undermines the plausibility of aesthetic expertise about drugs. Certified expert users—so-called Ganjiers—have more knowledge than non-experts about many botanical and cultural facts about cannabis. But, because expert users are highly likely to have developed tolerance to cannabis, they cannot have a better aesthetic appreciation of its mind-altering effects than non-expert users.

Everyone interested is welcome to attend.
The meeting will be held in English.

Participation is strongly recommended for students of the Doctoral School in Philosophy and Human Sciences and for students of the Doctoral School “The Human Mind and its Explanations: Language, Brain, and Reasoning”.
