Speaker: Giuseppe Di Cesare (Università di Parma)
Giuseppe Di Cesare leads the Vitality Lab at the Department of Food and Drug, University of Parma. This research explores how the brain shapes human behavior during social interactions. It focuses on human expressive actions with the aim to investigate the dynamics and the neural activity involved in their encoding. It uses a range of techniques, including kinematics, physiological monitoring, and brain imaging.
He is also affiliated researcher at the Italian Institute of Technology, where he develops methods to transfer human capabilities into the domain of robotics. The goal is to design humanoid robots able to interpreting and responding to human social signals in a natural and intuitive way.
